Two Murdered British Soldiers Shipped Home as Freight

The bodies of the soldiers Murdered in Northern Ireland were flown home without ceremony. This has angered members of HM Forces: "British troops have spoken of their anger following the disclosure that the bodies of the two soldiers murdered by dissident republicans were shipped back to the UK as freight."
"We have been told that the soldiers were not allowed to have a ramp service because of political reasons. We were told the Government didn't want anything that would look like the Troubles had restarted.
"As far as we are concerned these soldiers were shot dead in uniform by terrorists and they should be treated in exactly the same way as if they were killed in Afghanistan. To send their bodies back to the UK as freight is outrageous."
When a person joins any branch of HM Forces they are effectively on duty 24/7/365.
The Government are asked to review the crass rules that allowed this to happen.
The Government are further requested to amend the rules on Ramp Ceremonies.

These 2 guys were murdered by terrorists and this mealy mouthed politically (IN)correct low profile arse licking government appeasement is an insult. This insult is not only to these 2 soldiers. it is to their famlies, communities and, ultimately, to all of us in UK. Unless we, as the tax paying, fair playing, rule following, single little people have got the balls to stand up and say we are not having this - it will not only continue - it will worsen. I`m not preaching politics. I`m not denouncing any party nor supporting any other. I am just asking you, as friends, people whom I like and respect, to show me that my faith in you is well founded. Please do something - ask why the UK is doing this to her armed forces. Ask why it is happening. The links ar all there. Click and express your opinion. Sign the petition. Make it an issue or just roll over and ask the rest of the world to please come to the UK and shit all over us because we are worthless. Sad days have been made all the more hurtful by an insensitive and disgraceful decision by our government. For our government to be so mealy mouthed and lacking in compassion is a step too far. The bodies of the 2 murdered soldiers, shipped from northern ireland as FREIGHT, deserve better. Their memory, their families and their communities deserve better. Britain deserves better. Our concept of Dignity, Respect and Morality are being eroded and we must ignore any feelings of smallness and insignificance. Be a person with conviction. I urge anyone with a view on this to make their view known. These men died on behalf of our country. Many a meikle make a muckle. Please do your bit - as they have done theirs. Tell everyone you know, then tell strangers. Then tell them to tell others. What if they were your family?
